Crusaders where today knocked off the top of the Danske Bank Premiership and go second on goal difference after Coleraine beat them 2-0 at Seaview. It was penalty in each half that made the difference in a game that had very little talking points bar the penalties themselves.
It was probably the quietest start to a game at Seaview in many years as both sides failed to register a shot with defences on top at both ends. It all changed though on 17 minutes when Chris Hegarty was judged to have pulled down Eoin Bradley in the box and the referee pointed to the spot from which Ben Doherty slotted home and it was 1-0 Coleraine.
The second penalty came in time added on in the second half and this time Jordan Forsythe was harshly awarded a penalty against him and Ben Doherty put his second penalty of the day past Gerard Doherty and it was 2-0.
