Crusaders Get Their Numbers Right

Crusaders FC have officially launched their new innovative educational initiative Soccer Brains at Seaview.

Chairman Ronnie Millar was joined by manager Stephen Baxter, ex-player Nathan Hanley (now the Co-ordinator of Crusaders in the Community) and players Jamie McGonigle and Jarlath O’Rourke. Soccer Brains is a series of workshops to assist Primary 6 & 7 pupils with Numeracy & Literacy using football through the Crusaders squad and brand. The interactive workshops will be delivered in Primary Schools around N.Ireland by Nathan Hanley and some of the full-time players.

“We are excited about the launch of this new education programme. Like clubs in England, Crusaders will lead the way in working closely in the community with schools helping young boys and girls with Numeracy and Literacy. Through the use of football, pupils will have an opportunity to challenge themselves and learn in a fun and exciting environment” Ronnie Millar (Chairman, Crusaders FC).
