Warrenpoint Town v Crusaders Preview

Crusaders are away on their travels again this week in the Danske Bank Premiership when they play Warrenpoint Town at Milltown in the reversal of the fixture that was changed at short notice back in August to Seaview because of floodlight problems at Milltown. Crusaders will hope to build on their late win last week against Carrick Rangers and get closer to Coleraine who Warrenpoint Town defeated last week in a shock to everyone outside of Warrenpoint Town.

Gerard Doherty will start in goals and it could be a changed back four if Stephen Baxter decides to play a more traditional back four on this occasion. Billy Joe Burns and Colin Coates should start but Howard Beverland and Chris Hegarty will push each other for the other centre half position while Jarlath O'Rourke and Michael Ruddy face a fight to play in the left back position. Midfield is as always the hardest area to call but "in form" Rory Hale could keep his spot with possibly Paul Heatley, Philip Lowry and Ross Clarke joining him although others may have impressed in training this week and earned a starting spot instead. Jamie McGonigle and Jordan Owens both started last week and there is a chance we could see that again. Stephen Baxter will know how tough it can be at Milltown and will get the message across that three points is exactly what we need to stay at pace with the leaders in the Premiership,

Warrenpoint Town will be on a high after last weeks win over the then leaders of the Premiership Coleraine. Barry Gray has returned as manager and given the club a lift and he will have done his prep ahead of this game as he plots his sides move off the bottom spot. Alan O'Sullivan was the the hero last week with two goals in the 3-1 win and he look to add to his tally as soon as possible. Eamon Scannell has been impressive and Brandon Doyle is also worthy of a mention and will need watched.

So all set for the game and we want you with us as always. We hope you can make the trip down the A1 to join us and the lads appreciate your backing. Let's get behind your team and help keep us in the Premiership race. with your vocal support. Admission to the game is £12 & £8 payable at the turnstile. See you at the game. Keep The Faith.
