Crusaders Hit Swifts For Six

Crusaders went goal crazy today when they defeated Dungannon Swifts 6-1 at Stangmore Park. They did go behind first but stormed back scoring 5 goals in the second half and with other results going their way they went top of the Danske Bank Premiership as well.

Dungannon Swifts took the lead with a good goal from Dougie Wilson but Crusaders levelled two minutes later with a deflected goal by Paul Heatley. It wasn't until second half Crusaders took the lead when Ross Clarke side footed home on 58 minutes and just five minutes later it was 3-1 when Philip Lowry headed home from close range. Three minutes later it was 4-1 when Howard Beverland headed home and Jammie McGonigle scored on 73 minutes with a cracking goal making it 5-1. On 77 minutes Jamie McGonigle another good goal, this time a free kick, and Crusaders where 6-1 up and that's how it ended.
