Crusaders v Institute League Cup Semi Final Preview

Next up for Crusaders at Seaview is the League Cup Semi Final against Institute on Tuesday night (7.45pm) It is a straight "shoot out" for a place in the final against Linfield or Coleraine next February and neither side will need motivation for this one.

Crusaders are in great form and with a 6-1 win on Saturday confidence will be high. Stephen Baxter though will keep their feet on the ground knowing what is at stake and the game plan will be thorough. With Jordan Owens and Rory Hale expected to miss through injuries sustained against Dungannon Swifts we could see a few changes in the starting XI. Sean O'Neill could come back in for this one as he had played in the previous rounds and Chris Hegarty could come back in at centre half if Colin Coates or Howard Beverland are rested. The midfield could see a shake up with Rory Hale missing and Declan Caddell could take his place. David Cushley could be the straight swap for Jordan Owens to partner Jamie McGonigle also but we wait to see who does start come 6.30pm on Tuesday night.

Institute have been busy reinventing themselves since new manager Sean Connor took the reins a few months ago. Beaten only twice since then Crusaders have already had a taste of the regime after a 1-1 draw at Seaview a month ago in the Premiership. A 2-0 win over Coleraine last Saturday has certainly raised a few eyebrows and people are taking notice of them so Crusaders will know what to expect. Joe McCready is their main threat in front of goal but Caoimhin Bonner, Cormac Burke and Conor Tourish have some good experience between them to give Crusaders a tough time possibly.

So a game away from the League Cup Final and of course we want you with us as we tgry and get there. Admission into Seaview is £12 & £8 and season tickets are NOT valid. Get yourself down to Seaview on Tuesday night and show your support in the colours and also vocally. Everyone loves a final day so get behind the team from the start and we could be in that Final come early next year. Keep The Faith.
