Crusaders Ease Through To Quarter Finals

 Crusaders made easy work of Carrick Rangers today as they eased through in the Sadlers Peaky Blinders Irish Cup at Loughshore Arena 5-1.

Jamie McGonigle calmed the nerves with a perfect turn and shot that flew by Harry Doherty  on 4 minutes before Jordan Owens made it 2-0 after 34 minutes when he nodded home at the back post. Carrick Rangers pulled one back on 398 minutes when a shot bounced off several players and past Gerard Doherty. Crusaders though finished the half 3-1 ahead when Jordan Forsythe tapped home from yards out on the whistle.

The second half saw Crusaders pull away when Paul Heatley shot was helped into the net by a Carrick dfender and Jordan Owens finished the scoring with an easy header after 74 minutes. No further goals where scored and the at the final whistle it was 5-1 Crusaders.
