Crusaders lost ground in the Danske Bank Premiership when they fell to a late Conor McCloskey goal at Mourneview Park today. The sub came on with eight minutes left and just four minutes left he hit a shot from just the box and it beat Gerard Doshertys dive and landed in the far corner of the net.
The weather conditions where tough but both sides knuckled down and got on with it. Crusaders played with the wind in the first half but had to wait to the 42ndminute before scoring with Paul Heatley finishing a good move. The second half both sides had great chances but couldn't convert until the 67th minute when a long Glenavon ball caused confusion in the Crusaders defence and Josh Daniels poked the ball home to make it 1-1. It then stayed pretty even until the late winner and the home side collected three points.
