Appeal for Volunteers
Crusaders FC and our community partners are embarking on an ambitious scheme to deliver a substantial amount of hot meals on a daily basis from Monday to Saturday each week.
Those in need will receive a hot meal three times a week free of charge.  Due to  the quantity of meals, deliveries will be required six days a week
These meals will be delivered to those in need in the Lower North Belfast Areas from Tigers Bay through to White City, and the areas in between.
The meals will be prepared in The McDonald Centre by Crusaders FC volunteers and then delivered by local community groups including;
New Beginnings
The delivery of such a large quantity of meals is a huge undertaking and we need Crusaders FC volunteers to assist the community groups in making those deliveries.
The community groups volunteers are also carrying out critical work on behalf of the vulnerable including collecting prescriptions, collecting food, delivering emergency packs etc and need our assistance.
If you are over 18, fit and well, and have your own vehicle (which is taxed and insured) we need your help.
PPE and self distancing instruction will be provided and fuel expenses will be paid.
Can you spare a minimum of one hour per week on any day Monday to Saturday between 12 noon and 2.30pm?
Please reply to detailing which days and hours you are available.
We commence this Friday 10th April.
We would like to thank Belfast City Council  for providing financial support to cover the basic food ingredient costs and fuel costs for volunteers.
In particular we would like to thank councillors Fred Cobain and Dean McCullough and also MLA William Humphrey for making this happen.
